Running..what's that?!

For the past 2 weeks I've planned on writing about my base building and yet ever day comes and goes and I have yet to write about my training.

I feel especially inclinced to write about it now, as I believe, I'm literally falling apart.

I had a long run planned for Sunday, or was it Monday, (I can't remember!) but due to some calf issues, which then turned into upper-back/neck/arm/chest issues, I've been side-lined since...Saturday?!

who the hell knows?! all i know is i'm pissed...and a tad bit scared, especially about the last part but it's been 3 days now so I will be calling the Dr. about my upper-back/neck/chest issues, right after I attempt 4 miles though.

December consisted of 12 runs:
  • 4x - 3 miles - check
  • 4x - 4 miles - check
  • 1x - 5 miler - check
  • 1x - 6 miler - check
  • 1x - 7 miler
  • 1x -stepback week (5 miles)

I'll admit I thought I had both 7 and 5 in the bag...hell I would be in Florida, I would have amazing weather, nothing would hold me back...but once I got there...
  1.  I was severly limited by lack of sidewalks where we stayed. i was just able to eak out 4 miles.
  2. alligators.. i have no clue where they live but anything swampy scared me and there were lots of swampy areas
  3. the pool...i swam laps instead..
sssooo...wish me luck neither of my current ailments hold me back from these 4 miles.

trust me..walking the same 4 mile route you typically run, is no fun!

  1. Good luck getting those miles in. Hope the pain goes away soon :) If you're feeling better, I can knock out some miles Thurs or Fri morning.
