Mother's Day

Happy Monday blends...

whose tired? I am...

Source
This weekend just blew by... I'm still trying to figure it all out.

Saturday was non-stop from 7 am - 8 pm...

Sunday was a little better although it seemed like we were running around non-stop.

At 4, my mom came over for coffee..

Simple...but I like it and hopefully the next time I show a picture of my dining room, my walls will be painted and Illl have my new dining room set!

Cakes, because you know, none of us have a weight  problem!
a Coldstone Ice Cream cake
Himmelstorte...recipe to come later this week

After a quick slow game of Carcassonne, we had dinner... European style... so delicious...

Lox, cured meats and a smorgus board of breads
So delicious.... and a bummer no real festivities like this will be again for a while...although my ever expanding waist line will appreciate it!

How as your weekend?

  6. Those desserts are looking tasty!

I had so much fun with my mommy yesterday! She came to cheer me on at a race, then we had breakfast together and she was nice and drove me home while I dozed off in the car.

  7. Nice Rebecca! I always love seeing your place settings and holiday decorations :)

we didn't do much here; the kids weren't with us so they gave me little presents the weekend before.

We spent part of the day seeing my MIL and walking around the village Hubs comes from, enjoying the sunshine and some ice cream (as you do on a warm day in Europe!!).

The Himmelstorte, is that with eierkoek (I don't know how to describe that but maybe you have something similar in germany?) and kwark? Yum!!
