Kathi and I went to Boogie Fever last night in Ferndale. We figured we'd switch it up since the last few times we had gone to the Sky Club, we felt like the oldest ladies there (uh yeah we are only 25!) and the ratio of guy to girl wasn't that great. Not that I need any guy attention but Kathi is looking for some summer luvin.
My only concern about B.F. was that they only play 70's,80's and early 90's music. Not that big of a biggie but who doesn't love some buttgrinding music?!
We got there around 10:30 and wow...the inside is pretty cool. A little TOO open but overall it's a good vibe. What I couldn't get over was the amount of older ladies. Don't get me wrong, having come from a club where I felt like the oldest there, being surrounded by ladies who were upwards of 45 was interesting to say the least. Of course, they had their hubbies or whoever they were there too and it was a riot! The dancing the dudes were doing was a sight to see!
What I really liked though was that their was an older male crowd, ones that have a job, a car and their own home because they w.o.r.k. Seems like too many guys my age are loafing around. Not that thats true but the ones we typically run into are loafers. Ugh...
What I didn't like, is that these dudes think they can still grab you and do whatever you want. PLEASE a-hole, I didn't let you do that 4 years ago, I sure as hell am not gonna let you do that now! There was a point where Kathi and I were dancing and we had 5 guys around us, looking at us like we were cattle. Um, no thanks! I hate that, I hated that years ago, obviously, they haven't evolved.
Overall, it was a fun evening...the cutest guy ended up being the cop on the bike who was supervising everyone coming out of the club...yumm-o!
