Superman

FYI: Today is gonna be random. So enjoy!

Yup...I went and saw the sneak preview of Superman last night. It was free (I got the tix while standing in line at Ikea), otherwise I wouldn't have gone. That and my brother wanted to see it. It was a waste of 2.5 hours however Chris Routh, the new Superman, is a hottie! It sorta made it worth it.

My recommendation: Wait till you can rent it!

I've tried a couple of new recipes from my WW cookbooks and I thought I'd share my rating on them.

First, the Spanish Tortilla from the Weight Watchers New Complete Cookbook (custom edition) Ok, I thought it was very delicious. I did add a side of tomato soup for a lovely lunch. PB didn't like it, which is strange because he typically does. You definitely NEED to like spinach. It's a spinach and potato dish.

Secondly, the Chicken, Sausage and Peppers also come from the WW New Complete Cookbook. It was a ok. A little bland. It was also a little watery. I'd have to change a couple of things if I'd make it again.

Finally, yesterday I made the Shrimp Pesto CousCous salad and WOW. It was AMAZING!! I was quite surprised and very filling for lunch! This came from the WW Take-Out Tonight! cookbook.

Lets see.... there was something else...ooohhhh...do you ever wonder where some bloggers go? They write consistently and then slowly they start cutting back, a couple of times a week, once a week, once every two weeks, once a month and then BAM...they are gone.

I often wonder what happened. Did they lose their drive? Did they gain their weight back? Does a lack of blogging allow people to eat/gain?

Either way...I miss their writings and hope all is well in their life. It just emphasizes that even though we "know" someone through their postings on their blog, we aren't really an impact on ones life and that's sad, considering that I feel like I know more stuff about certain people on the web than I do about certain acquaintances that I have. 1. I know that when I had my last job, I really only blogged maybe once or twice a week and was a terrible reader because I was just too busy. Maybe some of them get out there in life and then the other half feel ashamed because they are not losing...which is why I stay, hah. I need support, dang it.

  4. One of the guys at work is obessed with Superman. He's been wearing different Superman shirts everyday for the last 2 weeks. He's going tonight. I don't think I want to see it. I'll probably rent it or wait till it's on cable.

I love the WW books. They really have some good recipes.

  5. Hey - thanks for the word on the shrimp pesto cous cous - I'm gladf this is the one you liked because 'Take Out Tonight' is the only WW cookbook I have! I will definitely give it a try. I have just been away from blogging myself becuase of a couple months of family visits, and travel, and then tonnes of work to do in a very little time as a result. In my case: lost drive? check. weight gained? check. lack of blogging allowing me to gain? check! It is *the thing* that has helped me most, I think. Too bad I get completely obsessed with it and spend waaaay to much time reading blogs when I should be working! Now, to find that balance...
