One of our shower doors is a mirror and before I take a shower I stand there, mesmerized by the person looking back at me. I stand there at least a good 5 minutes, last night it was nearly 15.
I lose myself in her struggles, aspirations, and achievements.
Although, no where near where I want to be, I'm finally changing. Not only physically but also mentally.
I overcame a huge hurdle today. Upon weighing myself I was up a half pound, and it did not faze it.
It did not ruin my day, nor did it deter me from working out. I just kept on with the plan.
I pray this streak continues until I hit goal!
I'm so happy of your accomplishment today! I browsed through your blog and it sounds like you're really doing well. One thing about running, it has this way about making you examine your life. Who you are, where you want to go, and makes you look at the world in a whole new way.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to following your training, too. And... I'll see you at the finish line at Detroit!!!!
Woohoo you! So glad to hear it didn't ruin your day. You know your body flucuates so much that half a pound is nothing. I'm sure it will be gone tomorrow. Good job!!
